Rome, 1992 — the year Great Lengths engineered the first keratin bond built to move the way real hair moves, expanding and contracting rather than sitting rigid against it. The hair is 100% Remy, sourced through voluntary donation from temples in India, then hand-blended by artisans in Italy before it ever reaches a salon. Nearly thirty years on, it's still the benchmark the rest of the industry is held to.
At Vision, Great Lengths is reserved for clients chasing the closest possible replica of their own hair — available in both weft and individual keratin bonds, worn for months without the tension or breakage older methods are known for.

Will extensions be visible in my hair?
No — when placed correctly, extensions sit away from your part and hairline so they blend seamlessly. You should be left with the appearance of naturally thick, long hair, not visible wefts or bonds.
Will extensions damage my natural hair?
Not when applied and maintained correctly. Weight is distributed carefully across sections of your natural hair, and we monitor this at every maintenance visit. Overdue move-ups are the most common cause of damage — which is why we set a maintenance date at your fitting and stick to it.
How long do extensions last?
This depends on the method. Keratin bonds typically last 4–6 months and are removed and replaced as a fresh set. Weft is generally maintained on a shorter cycle, with the weft itself reusable across several appointments if properly cared for.
How many appointments does the process involve?
Four, generally: a consultation, the application appointment, a maintenance check partway through wear, and a removal (with reapplication, if you're continuing).
What happens at the consultation?
We assess your hair to confirm you're a suitable candidate, colour-match your extensions, count the bonds or wefts needed, and provide a formal quote. A 50% non-refundable deposit secures your booking at this stage.
Do I need to prepare my hair beforehand?
Yes — we recommend a colour refresh the week prior to your appointment for the most seamless blend, and we'll walk you through any other prep specific to your method.
How long does application take?
Anywhere from around 2 hours to half a day, depending on the method and the amount of length or density you're after. We'll confirm timing at your consultation.
Will they feel heavy or uncomfortable?
You'll notice added weight simply because there's more hair — but it should never be painful or cause pulling at the scalp. If it does, that's a sign something needs adjusting, and we'll fix it at your next visit.
Can I style, tie up, or heat-style my extensions as normal?
Yes. Once fitted, they move and style like your own hair — ponytails, braids, curling, and straightening are all fine with the right products and care.
What aftercare do I need?
We'll send you home with the products your specific method requires which are beneficial to use to help extensions last, including a suitable brush and talk you through a simple daily routine to keep both your extensions and your natural hair in good condition.
How much do extensions cost?
Pricing is on application following your consultation, since it depends on the method, length, and density you choose. No payment plans are currently offered.
